Therefore, they led their people out of worshiping idols. Therefore, they preached against sin and corruption.

There are those prophets who were referred to as messengers (rusul) and were given divine books. Laws and commandments were found in these books. Therefore, they gave an all-inclusive code of life to their people. All messengers are prophets. Messengers are not every prophet. Thus, the Quran affirms that every nation was sent a messenger. Thus, this means that the divine guidance was given to the entire humanity. Therefore, these were not divine people. Therefore, they were men who were perfect examples of human behavior. A Legacy of Unified Guidance

The accounts of the 25 prophets in the Quran are more than mere historical accounts. They create one interlinked story. All the prophets were part of a chain. They bore the basic light of truth to other people in other times. Their combined biography is the chronicle of relations of man to the divine. The fact that God has remained merciful and a guide is a blessing. The faith in this sequence of prophethood unites Muslims to a supernatural legacy that crosses both time and space. It confirms that the Islamic message is not a new religion; rather, it is the final, ultimate version of the ancient religion, which was revealed to every prophet, starting with Adam and Muhammad. This thread is also present in the sense that we are all in the one human family, we have one Creator.
