In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
Wad duhaa
چڑھتے دن کے وقت کی قسم۔
By the morning brightness
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
Wal laili iza sajaa
اور رات کی جب وہ ڈھانپ دے۔
And by the night when it covers with darkness,
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Ma wad da’aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa
تمہارے رب نے نہ تمہیں چھوڑا اور نہ ناپسند کیا۔
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola
اور بیشک تمہارے لئے ہر پچھلی گھڑی پہلی سے بہتر ہے۔
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
Wa la sawfa y’uteeka rabbuka fatarda
اور بیشک قریب ہے کہ تمہارا رب تمہیں اتنا دے گا کہ تم راضی ہوجاؤ گے۔
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa
کیا اس نے تمہیں یتیم نہ پایا پھر جگہ دی۔
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada
اور اس نے تمہیں اپنی محبت میں گم پایا تو اپنی طرف راہ دی۔
And He found you lost and guided [you],
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
Wa wa jadaka ‘aa-ilan fa aghnaa
اور اس نے تمہیں حاجت مند پایا تو غنی کر دیا۔
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar
تو کسی بھی صورت یتیم پر سختی نہ کرو۔
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar
اورکسی بھی صورت مانگنے والے کو نہ جھڑکو۔
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
Wa amma bi ni’mati rabbika fahad dith
اور اپنے رب کی نعمت کا خوب چرچا کرو۔
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
